On September 1st, we hosted a moving Rosh Hashanah toast online, with over 150 participants of the Assistance Program for Holocaust Survivor across the country. Beforehand, every participant received a care package with delicious treats at home—even those living in the hinterlands. The box included everything they would need for the celebration and a very special gift: the book entitled Voces con historia III (“Voices with History III”), which features the stories written by survivors at the Program’s Writing Workshop.

With special messages from Fundación Tzedaká’s and the Holocaust Museum’s Executive Directors, the rabbi from the Libertad Temple, Hernán Rustein, who also played the shofar, and Mariana Wil’s lovely voice, the event came to an end with the greetings and wishes of the survivors themselves, whose words moved us all!

The celebrations continued on September 2nd, when the Foundation organized an online toast with its volunteers, who were greeted and thanked by Javier Suez, Fundación Tzedaká’s president, and Enrique Burbinski, its executive director. In turn, when the volunteers took the floor, Tamara read a beautiful writing on Tikkun olam, and Irene shared her thoughts on commitment and the satisfaction of helping others. To wrap up, we enjoyed Víctor Murstein’s music, and his varied repertoire took us to different places and times before celebrating the new year with great joy.
